A new entrance exam is being introduced from this year for admission to postgraduate engineering courses. Earlier admission to ME, M.Tech, MCA, MBA courses was done through TANCET entrance exam.
Anna University has announced that the TANCET exam will be considered only for admission to MCA, a post-graduate course in computer science, and MBA, a post-graduate course in business, and a new exam called CEETA will be introduced for admission to post-graduate engineering courses, ME and M.Tech.
Anna University informed that TANCET examination will be conducted on March 25th and CEETA examination on March 26th this year and applications for this can be made from February 1st to February 22nd. Also the fee details for TANCET and CEETA entrance exam have been published.
Accordingly for TANCET examination for MCA, MBA courses Rs.500 for SC, ST, SC (A) category and Rs. 1000 has also been fixed as application fee. In the CEETA examination, the fee for post-graduate courses including ME, M.Tech, M.Arch has been fixed at Rs 750 for SC, ST, SCA category and Rs 1500 for other categories.
It has been informed that the students who wish to apply have to enter and pay the fees on the website http://tancet.annauniv.edu/tancet and can download the hall ticket of the exam from the same website address.
