Nellikuppam : An old man was found dead near Nellikuppam.
An old man was found dead near Nellikuppam PN Palayam railway gate next to Melpattambakkam yesterday afternoon. Passers-by saw the dead man and informed the police.
The Nellikuppam police seized the body of the deceased and sent it for post-mortem. They also registered a case and inquired as to who the deceased was. It was learned that Desingu, 62, of Panruti Murungappakkam Street.
It was learned that Desingu died after drinking in Madugara, Puducherry. They are investigating whether he died due to drunkenness or some other reason.
