Health Minister Naba Das was shot by an assistant police inspector who was on security duty in Odisha, and he succumbed to his injuries. Chief Minister Stalin condoled him on Twitter.
Biju Janata Dal is ruling Odisha under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik. In his cabinet, the Health Minister is Naba Kishore Das. He had gone to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the Grievance Redressal Office in Prachraj Nagar, Jharsuguda District. It is said that Assistant Police Inspector Gopal Das, who was on security duty, shot Napa Kisor Das twice when he got out of the car.
In this, Minister Naba Kisor Das collapsed due to 2 bullets hitting his chest. The bystanders immediately rescued him and rushed him to the nearest hospital. After his condition became critical, he was airlifted to Bhubaneswar from Jharkhand airport.
In this case, he was given life-saving treatment in the hospital, but he died without treatment. Napa Das’s wife says the police sub-inspector who shot him had a mental disorder.
Following this, various prominent political party leaders condoled him. In this regard, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin posted on Twitter, “I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of the death of the Odisha Health Minister. I express my deepest condolences to his family, relatives and the Chief Minister of Odisha.”
