A total of 26 complexes will be projecting ARGENTINA 1985 this cinematographic week that starts today. It was already taking place in a few prior to knowing the nominations, but because of the great news, many of those that premiered it at the time are showing it again.
But the surprise is that Showcase begins to give it in six complexes, being the first of the international chains that project it. Let’s remember that because they disagreed with the reduced window that AMAZON, who financed the film, decided to put on it, the big chains decided not to screen it.
I personally estimate that for now it is already streaming and wherever and for sure it will have low financial conditions, Showcase is now re-releasing it as it was done with many other films at the time, which were also streaming. You no longer qualify the trade dispute.
Cinépolis and Cinemark are not showing it for now, although the Mexican chain is opening it in other territories this week. I don’t have the Cinemark information.
These are the rooms that will screen it this week, surely with few hours but it can vary according to demand.

Argentina 1985 sold more than a million tickets since its premiere, which had the particularity of a fight between multinationals. If it had been a normal premiere, it would surely exceed two million, but it is an assumption that we will never be able to confirm.
