A serious car accident occurred this morning (Monday) near the city of Oman in Ukraine, when a private vehicle hit a shuttle that was transporting Israeli citizens to the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Breslav. Rescue teams that were called to the scene pronounced the Ukrainian driver dead on the spot, and provided aid to 4 Israelis who were injured in the incident, one of them in moderate condition and 3 in minor condition.
Naftali Rabinowitz, a medic for the Rescue Union in Ukraine, said that “it is an accident involving two vehicles – including a shuttle bus that was transporting Israelis to Zion Rabbi Nachman of Breslav zt’l and a private vehicle with a Ukrainian driver. Unfortunately, the local driver was pronounced dead at the scene.”
“Also, we provided aid to a 50-year-old wounded Israeli in moderate condition, and to three Israeli female passengers from the bus who were slightly injured,” he added and updated. “The head of the Uman Rescue Union branch, Mathes Shapira, came to the hospital to assist the victims in escorting and promoting the medical assistance and to assist in the translation in front of the hospital’s medical staff.”
