The Miracle of Faith’ encourages children’s prayer

Raising children in the current generation has not been an easy task for many families, and this for several reasons, among which is the strong influence of social media and means of communication. For actress Chrissy Metz, star of the movie “Overcoming: The Miracle of Faith”, this is a problem that can be solved with one fundamental thing: prayer!

Also known for playing comedy roles in movies, in real life the actress has a very clear position on faith in God, so much so that she decided to launch a book aimed at children, where prayer is the main theme.

“For me, prayer has always been very important. My grandmother instilled this into my routine from a very young age. And luckily, that stayed with me for my whole life,” said Chrissy, according to Christian Headlines.

According to Chrissy, the book was written in partnership with her boyfriend, Bradley Collins. For the actress, the work ‘When I Talk to God, I Talk about You’ (free translation: When I talk to God, I talk about you) aims to be an important tool to help Christian parents.

“I hope this touches the parents as much as the kids,” she said. Chrissy’s concern is no coincidence, as many parents don’t realize how important it is to teach children to talk to God from an early age.

It’s by example

Some parents believe that because they are very young, for example, children of 2, 3 or 4 years old would not be able to understand about the existence of a spiritual Being like God, the Creator.

At this stage, however, what is sought is not complex understanding on the part of the little ones, but learning based on the example and discipline of the parents, understanding being a natural result that bears fruit during the child’s maturation.

For actress Chrissy Metz, this also involves something that goes far beyond a mechanized action, as it concerns the spiritual life of the children. “Once you understand what prayer is, you really start to create a real relationship with God,” she concludes.
