It has also decided to upgrade US military bases in Australia. Accordingly, additional Bo planes and bombers will be grounded in that country. Training for military personnel will be enhanced and coordination for arms trafficking will be enhanced.
In addition, the Pentagon will prioritize strengthening the U.S. military presence in the northern Mariana Islands.
In this way, the United States will benefit greatly from joint military operations in the region.
He said the Pentagon’s focus would be on the Indo – Pacific region.
China claims ownership of the entire mineral-rich South China Sea in the Indo-Pacific region. China claims some of the Indo-Pacific islands claimed by Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam. In addition, China is developing artificial islands and setting up military bases on existing islands to occupy the region.
However, the United States opposes China’s claim to the region, which is a major route for international maritime trade. The United States has been asserting the right of international nations to use the South China Sea as their route.

Thus, in the context of tensions between the two countries, the United States, Britain and Australia (AUCs) have formed a new security alliance for the Indo-Pacific region.
In this context, the United States has decided to increase its military presence in areas including Australia to enhance the defense structure against China.
