Order changes happen all the time and, despite being frustrating, sometimes yield good stories, like Amanda Reed’s. The internet user told in her personal profile, in a humorous tone, how a vibrator ended up in the hands of an 85-year-old lady.
Amanda works and studies a lot at home and needed a desk that met her needs. To help his wife, the husband ordered a large wooden table from Amazon, and as both are not at home in the afternoon, the person who receives the family packages is usually the boy’s grandmother, who lives nearby.
When the order was delivered, the elderly woman called Amanda and explained, a little confused, that her “table” was inside the mailbox. The woman, then, began to suspect that she had something wrong, because, although mailboxes are large in the United States, they evidently do not hold a piece of furniture.
At that moment, Amanda was busy and could only briefly comment on the situation with her husband, who decided to call his grandmother and ask about the delivery. The pensioner clarified that the small package was in the mailbox and offered to open it.
Without expecting the contents of the box to be an adult toy, the grandson accepted it, and, a little embarrassed, the elderly woman tried to explain that the package said “erotic massager” and other things that she preferred not to read. After explaining the situation to the grandmother, Justin called Amanda, who almost fell over backwards with the report.
“How does Amazon do this?”, Amanda asked in the video posted on her networks. “Didn’t the delivery guy find it odd that the order description said ‘table’ for a package that size? And imagine Grandma’s embarrassment!”
Amanda’s TikTok video is only two weeks old and already has over 1.7 million views. In the comments, viewers joined in the fun:
“Sometimes they thought it was a Barbie-type table,” commented a follower.
“This lady must have thought ‘how technology has evolved’, hahaha.”, said another.
“I bought this exact table and now I feel cheated for getting the table. That would have been much more helpful,” commented a third.
A day later, Amanda posted an update confirming that Amazon had refunded the amount, and she purchased a table from another store. The company even said she could keep the “gift”, but the woman preferred to find a new owner.
According to Amanda, her plan for the next few days, in addition to setting up the new table, includes introducing grandma to her followers, after many requests. The sweet lady is excited to tell her side of the story.
