Andhra skipper Vihari was scoring 16 runs off 37 balls when he was bowled by Avesh Khan when he fractured his left wrist. Due to this, he left the field halfway through. At the time, it was reported that Vihari was told not to play for five to six weeks. Andhra team players Ricky Phui (149) and Karan Shinde (110) played well. At one stage the team had scored 323 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. After both of them got out, the next players got out with few runs.
As a result 353 runs lost 9 wickets. It was at this stage that Vihari came out to bat again. He batted as a left-handed batsman to protect his broken wrist. He played with only one hand while his left arm was completely taped. Vihari scored 26 runs in almost ten overs. He did most of the scoring in partnership with No. 9 Lalit Mohan. Andhra advanced to 379 for 9.
