Intel announces an allotment of improvements for its video card driver for gaming and also cuts the official price of the ARC A750, which dreams of winning the hearts of the masses

Today is an important day for Intel’s gaming video card division, which is still searching for its place in the market. While a few months ago there was an official launch for the ARC A750 and ARC A770, finding them in the local market is very difficult. We even got to test the performance of the A770 when it came to visit us.

Since then, it seems that a lot of water has passed in that river, and frequent driver releases for the new video cards have added a lot to the performance and stability of the cards.

Now, Intel is using a major driver update as a great opportunity to remind that the A750 is still here, that it gets improved performance and even to announce a new price tag, lower than the price tag shown at launch.

The ARC A750 is Intel’s second most powerful graphics card at the moment, and now carries a price tag of $249 instead of the $289 it was officially priced at until now.

The first emphasis with the driver improvements is to bring as significant an improvement as possible to DirectX9 titles, where the biggest weakness of Intel’s architecture was, since these video cards were not developed with full DirectX9 support at all.

In driver improvements alone, Intel claims that there has been an improvement of tens of percent to almost twice the performance of the video card today compared to when it was launched a few months ago. These are not random and unknown titles, the list of games in which significant improvements were demonstrated are popular and multiplayer games.

It is not just an average frames per second, but a consistent and low average rendering time for each frame displayed. The improvement in a title like CS:GO is extremely significant.

Intel claims that the new value of the ARC A750 makes it the clear choice in the cheaper graphics card market against the competing GeForce RTX 3060. While we don’t get numbers compared to graphics cards like the Radeon RX 6600 XT which can be found for less than $300, we will find out the real answer to its comparison in the coming days when renewed reviews come out.

We were informed by Intel that steps are being taken to make sure that the distribution of this video card will be done in a more serious way around the world, when in Israel we are also expected to see its availability, who knows, maybe even in the many versions of the various hardware manufacturers.

Those who have an Intel ARC series graphics card can find the new driver here. We hope to bring you more information about actual performance tests of the ARC series in the near future. The world of affordable video cards needs new blood and fast technology, and maybe A750 will be the solution.
