Benfica defeated Arouca, while Braga fell to third place

The eighteenth round of the Portuguese first division football championship took place this Wednesday, February 1st. SL Benfica, Sporting CP and FC Porto won, while Sporting de Braga lost.

SL Benfica won by 0-3 in the trip to Aroucain a game counting for the 18th round of the Portuguese first division football championship.

The eagles’ goals were scored by Portuguese midfielder João Mário, who scored twice, and by Croatian striker Petar Musa.

The reds lead the Portuguese league with 50 points after the eighteenth round. This was Benfica’s 16th triumph in this 2022/2023 season.

With regard to Sporting de Braga is now in 3rd place with 40 points, after the 5-0 loss to Sporting Clube de Portugal.

The goals scored by the Sporting fans were scored by the Japanese Hidemasa Morita, who scored twice, the British Marcus Edwards, the Brazilian Matheus Reis, and the Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves.

Sporting Clube de Portugal is in 4th place with 35 points.

Remember that on the 17th day, Braga won by 1-2 in the trip to Paços de Ferreira, while the sporting fans defeated Vizela by 2-1.

The next journey will take place from the 4th to the 6th of February.
