In this sense, we created this guide that includes the learning and work that we have been carrying out since 2017 in the team of the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Program (SMAPS) of the Health Unit, as well as the experience of the forensics of the International Committee for the Red Cross in Colombia (ICRC) in accompanying those who search for disappeared persons.
With this, we seek to contribute to the work of the authorities and of each entity involved in the care of the people who seek, provoking reflections and providing recommendations based on which it is guaranteed that throughout the process the right to know is promoted, the resignification and the psychological and psychosocial recovery from the damage of the families and the people who search.
