Riyadh: A foreign woman and her husband were arrested for performing hijama treatment without a license in Saudi Arabia. They were caught during an inspection conducted by the health department and the police in Makkah. They were doing treatment without obtaining license from the concerned departments.

Officials informed that the Makkah Health Department had received complaints about the couple who were undergoing illegal treatment. Makkah Health Department spokesman Hamad Al Utaibi said they did not follow safety measures and infection prevention standards. The authorities who investigated the complaints and conducted a check with the police arrested the couple. Both have been handed over to concerned departments for further action. The Ministry of Health has asked those who notice violations of health laws affecting the safety of citizens and expatriates of the country to contact the number 937 and inform the authorities.

Six children and father die in house fire in Saudi Arabia; Mother is injured
RIYADH: Seven people, including three children, died and one person was injured in a house fire accident in Al-Qurayat in northern Saudi Arabia. The tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning in Hayi Tasheelat. Six children and father died. The mother escaped with serious injuries.

Alkhurayat patrol police received the information that the house was on fire and smoke was rising. Aljauf Region Civil Defense Spokesperson Captain Abdurrahman Alduwaihi said that the Civil Defense immediately reached the spot and was carrying out rescue operations.
The fire was quickly brought under control.

Four people were found dead inside the house and four others were found in critical condition. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital. Three people later died in hospital. Three of the dead are children. They were in a room inside the house. Preliminary investigation revealed that the fire started from the children’s bedroom on the ground floor. Al Faisaliah police are continuing to investigate.
