The General Academic Regulations are part of the University Reform

In 2019 the community of the Autonomous University of Coahuila (UadeC) updated his University Statutewhich remained unchanged for more than 43 years. The procedure to modify it was the obstacle, since after debating in assembly, in each of the 59 academic unitsyou had to do the same in the University Council, and the 354 members of said body, by regulatory provision, an attendance of three quarters should be ensured. Once installed, the agreed proposals would be discussed in each student and teacher assembly. The modifications to Statute must be approved by at least two thirds of those present at the session of the University Council and, at a later date, submit them to a plebiscite for the community of students and teachers to vote on, that is, more than forty-one thousand people.
