The Police captured the alleged murderer of the social communicator and journalist Marcos Felipe Zamudio Camacho, who was stabbed in the Tolimense municipality of Flandes. The crime happened on the night of January 31 in the urban area, where the unsuspecting victim was walking.
Zamudio, 29, was a communicator for the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce. He had traveled to Flanders from Bogotá, in compliance with a labor mission, and was staying at a hotel.
At night he went out to dinner and, when he was talking on his cell phone on the road, he was intercepted by the alleged thief. the mugger he took the phone and delivered a lethal stab to the neck.
Although the communicator was referred to a hospital, it was not possible to save his life.
The commander of the Cundinamarca Police, Colonel Edwin Urrego, pointed out that the industry surveillance cameras They recorded the moments in which Zamudio was followed by the murderer on a bicycle, and the route he took after committing the crime.
Thanks to these images, the investigators were able to identify him as Jaime Pava Vásquez, aka Pava, who was located this Thursday in the municipality of Girardot, Cundinamarca. There he was captured by the police.
According to the colonel, the detainee had the victim’s cell phone in his possession.
