“I’ve never stopped since I was 17: a hamster on the wheel.” Then, just over a year ago, the world was also interrupted for Daniela Ferolla: the lockdown and suddenly the time ahead. “I started writing, I wanted to turn inertia into something good.” Thus was born one of the children’s books of the pandemic, “A moment of breath” (Rai Libri), just delivered to bookstores and written by the former Miss Italy and presenter of Linea Verde thinking precisely at that time regained, to be transformed into a positive message for the body. «An hour of meditation, a walk in the woods: any escape from an unhealthy life».
Trend expert Li Edelkoort at the start of the pandemic spoke of a possibility of restoring one’s values.
«And it has happened: we have given back importance to the outline, to good practices. I am passionate about gyrokinesis, which brings together yoga, pilates and meditation ».
The book is also a collection of moments lived as a host of Linea Verde.

From Miss Italia to Lady Green: how did the change happen?
“It wasn’t easy. When I won Miss Italy, in 2001, the role of the woman was different from now. If you were the most beautiful, you had to be content with making the figurine. The roles that arrived were those of valletta, a decoration ».
How did he change the rules?
“At the beginning in the worst way: I was ugly to be credible and accepted by those who should have offered me a job. I was deadening my appearance and wearing one size fits most clothes. Then someone pointed out to me that I shouldn’t be ashamed of having nice legs ».
In the meantime she went back to studying.
«I graduated in Communication Sciences in Cattolica and I became a journalist. Despite this, I arrived late to manage: it was difficult to have the same space as my male colleagues, let’s not talk about the salary ».
Have you experienced male antagonism more than female antagonism?
«My book is dedicated to two women, my mother and my grandmother. I team up with the women’s world. Some men I worked with were afraid of a pretty young girl. ‘
Was beauty a boomerang?
“After all, I didn’t feel so beautiful: when I attended Miss Italy I had never done my eyebrows. I was a little provincial girl ».
