The Supreme Court dismisses the appeal of the Prosecutor’s Office against the acquittal of the Court of Ourense of the so-called ‘Operation Zamburiña’

The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the Prosecutor’s Office against the ruling of the Provincial Court of Ourense, of February 22, 2021, which acquitted the thirteen investigated, four of them police officers, in the so-called ‘Operation Zamburiña’, in which drug trafficking crimes, disclosure of secrets, failure to prosecute crimes, belonging to a criminal group and illegal possession of weapons were investigated. The Chamber has communicated the ruling to the Second Section of the Orense Court, which issued the appealed resolution, and in the coming days it will announce the complete sentence with the legal grounds.
