Pope Francis, who returned from an apostolic visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, thanked Mother Mary for keeping him safe during his trip.

On Sunday, February 5, Pope Francis visited St. Mary Major Perungoville in Rome to thank the Mother who accompanied and guided him during his apostolic journey in the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.

Likewise, on Tuesday, January 31, the day before the start of his fortieth apostolic journey, that is, Monday, January 20, in the evening, Pope Francis went to Iperungovil to entrust the journey to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Pope Francis, who has a special devotion to Mother Mary, went to St. Mary Major Perungovil and prayed in front of the image of Mother Mary, the day after he assumed the responsibility of the headship on March 13, 2013. Also, he makes it his practice to pray before the image of the Mother every time, before going on a missionary journey and after returning from the journey.
