Snow and ice: the Pyrénées-Orientales placed in orange vigilance

Caution this Tuesday in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Météo France has placed the department on orange alert for risks related to snow and ice.

The expected snowy episode is described as “notable in the west of the Pyrénées-Orientales from Tuesday morning until the evening”. The rainy-snow disturbance “circulates from the Alps to the Massif Central and will come to block the Pyrénées-Orientales and the Aude on Tuesday morning, giving significant accumulations of snow on the Pyrenees and the Piedmont”.

Isère, Drôme, Ardèche, Gard, Hérault, Aveyron, Tarn, Aude are placed in yellow vigilance.
