Actress Samyukta says she dropped ‘Menon’ from her name. In an interview held as part of the promotion of the new film ‘Vaathi’ starring Dhanush, the actress said that it is enough to call her ‘Samyukta’ and not ‘Menon’. The actress had revealed on social media that she had ditched Menon a few days ago.
In an interview related to the movie ‘Vaathi’, when the presenter called Samyukta Menon, she said that it is enough to call her only Samyukta. There used to be a caste named Menon. But I have asked the producers to remove ‘Menon’ from my name in the films I am acting in.

The actress also requested through her social media platform to call Samyukta Menon instead of Samyukta Menon in news and media portals. This decision of the actress was praised by many people. Samyukta last acted in the Malayalam film Katuva.
