The post of Chairman of the District Consumer Grievance Redressal Commission functioning in Puducherry has been lying vacant since September 2018. To fill this post, the exam was conducted in January last year. However, the announcement regarding the appointment of the chairman has not been released.
Meanwhile, 2 members were appointed as members of the District Commission.
In this case, Advocate Muthuvel has been appointed as the Chairman of the District Consumer Grievance Redressal Commission. The government’s Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department has issued an order for this.
Muthuvel will hold the post of Chairman of the District Consumer Grievance Commission for a period of 4 years from the date of assumption of charge.
