As most of you will know my dad is sick.. He has been diagnosed with polyneuropathy & parkinson. As a result, he is deteriorating physically (& also mentally) and has already had to give up a lot, despite this he is a tough guy and he always tries to get the positive out of it.. Due to this terrible disease (s) it is unfortunately no longer possible for him to live at home with my mother because we can’t provide him with the care and security he needs at home, that’s why he has been living in a nursing home for quite some time, where he gets all the care and help he needs. All this is of course not easy for both of you.. That way you still live and do everything together, and the next moment you have to hand in so much and you live separately, and the little things are no longer so obvious.. Hats off to my mother who where she can still do it all (in addition to her work and household) does everything for and with him, such as eating a hot meal together every day, going to the market together when the weather permits or eating an ice cream at De Parel when the weather is nice. My father can no longer walk independently (fall is dangerous) and is therefore dependent on a wheelchair, which makes it very difficult to do something fun outside the door with him. Now it is the case that the care group offers a boat trip every year, fully catered for with food & drinks, care, etc. You can put yourself on a list for this and then you may be drawn out (people who have never been on or couldn’t go last time because of illness, for example) All this does have a cost, namely € 1050 per person, which is a lot of money, especially for people who also have to pay double rent and therefore don’t really have a piggy bank (of course also expensive enough for many other people nowadays) Now it is the case that part of this total amount (total € 2100 for together) is financed by a very sweet person, because of this there is still an amount outstanding.. I would love to want to supplement the rest but I simply don’t have this, that’s why I want to try to get the remaining amount together so that my parents can go on holiday together again, go away together one more time and make beautiful memories .. This ve they just deserve!! So my question to you, even if it’s just a very small amount, I’m happy with everything.. Will you help me realize this for my parents ♡
