Coimbatore: In relation to Ordinance No. 152, there has been a request to listen to the views of the Corporation employees and the Corporation Employees Associations and address the effects.
A letter from Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Ministerial Staff Association Founder President Subramanian to Chief Minister Stalin:
In 20 Municipal Corporations in Tamil Nadu (excluding Chennai Metropolitan Corporation), according to Ordinance No: 152, before implementing the order, the opinions of the Corporation Employees and Corporation Employees Unions should be heard and the effects addressed.
According to the ordinance, the number of posts already sanctioned in the Municipal Corporations has been reduced. We request re-fixation not less than the number already sanctioned.
The mandate to outsource post-retirement vacancies to private individuals should be cancelled.
The posts of Assistant, Deputy Commissioners in Municipal Corporations shall be filled only by employees who have served in the posts of Administrative Officers and Accounts Officers of the Corporation Ministry either through promotion or transfer.
Additional Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration, Municipal Administrative Director etc. should be instructed to amend the aspects affecting the ordinance to the Ministry employees and others.
