Russia issued a warning about the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine

The Russian Embassy in London issued a stark warning after reports of talks about sending fighter jets to Ukraine, claiming that there would be serious military and political consequences for the entire world. The Russian embassy warned in a statement that the supply of modern fighter jets to Ukraine would be “on London’s conscience” because of “the bloodshed, the next round of escalation, and the subsequent military and political consequences on the European continent and the entire world.”

In a dramatic speech before the British Parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday called on Britain to supply it with fighter jets to ensure his victory over Russia. He also thanked the British people for their support since “day one” of the war between Russia and Ukraine. After flying to Washington last December, this was Zelensky’s second visit abroad since Russia invaded on February 24, 2022

As Ukraine prepares for a major battle with Russia, the Ukrainian leader has made a surprise trip to Britain in an effort to obtain more sophisticated weapons. The resilience of the Ukrainian defense has been largely attributed to Western aid, and the two sides have been engaged in bloody fighting since Russia invaded Ukraine.

Zelensky presented the Speaker of the House of Representatives with a helmet from the Ukrainian Air Force on which a pilot wrote: “We have freedom, give us wings to protect it.” The British government announced that it is “actively investigating the sending of Western aircraft to Ukraine and discussing the matter with our partners.”
