Madrid: Spanish youth organized a rosary rally in Madrid, the Spanish capital, to proclaim the need to hold on to the Christian faith in the face of challenges and crises. Thousands from different parts of the country are expected to participate in the rosary rally organized from St. Michael’s Basilica to the city square on February 11 at 7:00 pm.

The service, organized under the name ‘Rosary for the Youth of Spain’ (Rosario por la Juventad de España), will be mainly aimed at young people, but will also include the presence of adults. This prayer initiative also aims to give public testimonies of faith to inspire more people to recite the Rosary.

‘We wish to seek the intercession of Holy Mother and be under the protection of Mother’s Neelakappa. The Mother of God is the mother of us all. Mother will accept us and lead us to Jesus,’ the organizers added. This prayer initiative was initiated by a group of friends who believed in the great power of the Rosary.

This is the third time that the city of Madrid will host the youth prayer rally. The rosary rally organized in 2018, 2019 and 2022 drew thousands. The presence of groups carrying the image of the Mother of God was also noted. The prayer movement is also notable for the anti-Christian stance that has begun since atheist Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez took power in 2018.
