Pune-based Wave Mobility has announced plans to manufacture India’s first solar electric car. Wave’s Suryashakti electric car is going on sale under the name Eva. The car will go on sale next year. Two adults and one child can travel in the Wave Eva solar electric car model.

The Wave Eva model is India’s first electric car with solar panels on the roof. Its 150 watt panels are capable of providing a range of 10 to 12 kilometers every day. This is 3 thousand kilometers per year. A 14 kWh battery pack is provided in this electric car. It has a range of 250 kilometers on a full charge.

The battery in it can be fully charged in four hours with a household socket charger. The design process of this car has been carried out for a long time. With this the weight of the car is 550 kg. And the solar panels in it provide the power to run the car.

Customers in India travel an average of 30 kilometers every day. In that way, the Wave Evo model will provide 30 percent driving range through solar power. The Wave Viva model is a micro car. It looks different from regular cars.

The 6 kW electric motor in the Wave Eva model produces a maximum power of 12 kW or 16 HP and a torque of 40 Nm. Along with this, a 14 kWh battery pack is provided. This car can reach a speed of 40 km per hour in 5 seconds. And it has a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour.
