Completely destroyed: this is what the Prime Minister’s official residence looks like

The Prime Minister’s Office reveals the dismal state of the official residence in Balfour. A year and a half after Netanyahu recently left there and it was determined that the place was unfit for human habitation, he began a renovation of the building, which seems to have stalled in the demolition phase.

Ben Caspit reveals: Why is the Prime Minister’s house neglected?

The place looks ruined, without tiles, with exposed walls, broken irons and pipes, etc.

The previous Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stayed in the building only a few times, and received the recommendation to take the place out for renovations. But then a strike began in the Ministry of Defense, which is responsible for the security of the place, and with the Israeli bureaucracy, and in particular in the government offices, even a year and a half after the approval for the renovations, nothing progressed, except for the demolition.

For comparison, this is what the place looked like in better days.

The Prime Minister’s office is saying this evening: “Contrary to claims, the house in Balfour does not need renovation, it needs construction. For a year and a half, the Bennett and Lapid governments did not advance anything to promote and use the official Prime Minister’s residence in Balfour. The construction work there is expected to last several years.”
