How to unsubscribe from Netflix

by time news

Netflix’s decision to prohibit shared accounts has caused complaints from its users who, far from opting for the single subscription as they possibly thought of the company, have decided to unsubscribe from the platform and bet on others from the competition that continue to allow the coexistence of several users under the same subscription.

However, as usual, unsubscribing from a platform or service is always more complex than signing up, although from here we explain how to do it as indicated in the Netflix help center itself.

Keep in mind that if the cancellation period has not yet expired, even if you cancel the account, you will be able to continue enjoying the content until that period expires. In any case, the way to unsubscribe is the same:

  • Log in to the platform

  • Access the main account

  • Enter the “Account” section

  • Click on “Cancel subscription”

  • Netflix will ask for a confirmation, so you just have to give: “Confirm cancellation”

If what you prefer is to change the type of subscription to a cheaper plan, you can transfer the profile to another account through ‘Settings’ from the ‘Transfer this profile’ option. Putting the email and password will be enough. Once that is done, the other account can be canceled in the aforementioned way.

If when you try you do not find the option to “Cancel subscription” it is because you have contracted Netflix through a telephone operator and it is she who makes the payment and, therefore, the one who has to cancel you.

For any doubts that may arise and given the barrage of calls that the company is receiving, whose lines have been saturated for days, the help center warns that logging out and removing the Netflix application does not cancel the account.
