DJI announced the Mini 2 SE, the company’s smallest drone with an accessible price tag. This is an upgraded edition of the Mini SE that was announced about a year and a half ago, offering a higher quality camera setup, greater distance connectivity, and

DJI Mini 2 SE weighs 249 grams and allows folding to be stored in the backpack for quick retrieval when needed. It allows flying for a distance of up to 10 km compared to the 4 km of its predecessor, up to a height of 4000 meters and is wind resistant at level 5. The change is thanks to the use of DJI’s proprietary OcuSync 2.0 technology which provides a greater distance compared to the use of WiFi communication. The surface speed is up to 25 km/h and the battery is enough for up to 31 minutes of use.

The main camera combines a multi-angle gimbal with a 1/2.3-inch sensor with a resolution of 12 megapixels and a maximum quality photo of 2.7K at 30 frames per second. While the sensor has not changed compared to its predecessor, it is also capable of providing up to x2 or up to x4 zoom in 1080p quality at 60 frames per second. It has a variety of shooting modes including some automatic, but it does not have an obstacle avoidance mechanism.

The price of DJI Mini 2 SE is 369 dollars (about NIS 1,300 before tax), slightly more expensive than its predecessor. It will also be available in an extended kit that includes an additional battery, propellers, a bag and several other accessories at a price of 599 dollars. The launch next month.
