Twitter now allows you to post 4,000-character tweets: this is how you can do it

Twitter it keeps trying to convince users to get them to pay for the new monthly subscription. The social network has announced an extension in the number of possible characters in a tweet up to 4.000but only for members of the Blue plan, the same one that allows you to have an authentication sign.

“More words”, the technology company made clear in the tweet with which it has announced the novelty of its subscription.

The longer tweets, with up to 4,000 characters compared to the 280 allowed in a standard publication, are now available to Twitter Blue users in United States. At the moment it is unknown when the option will begin to be available to paying users residing in other countries.

The subscription service, in effect, gives access to a series of functions that are not available in the standard and free version, such as editing ‘tweets’, the possibility of putting an NFT as profile images or uploading videos to a 1080p resolution.

Ads shown in the navigation are cut in half with the subscription, which also allows you to post longer videos and access trial features.

The big bet, however, is account verification, which also makes posts prioritized for mentions, replies, and searches.

This subscription has been available in Spain since last week, with a cost that varies depending on the platform from which it is contracted. Thus, users can subscribe with a monthly plan that costs 8 euros per month or an annual plan that reduces the payment to 7 euros per month, in the desktop version. The mobile version, however, has a different cost: 12 euros per month.
