Cow Hugging Day has been withdrawn

New Delhi – The Central Animal Welfare Board has withdrawn its proposal to celebrate Valentine’s Day as ‘Cow Hug Day’. Board Secretary Dr. Dr. Sujith Kumar Dutta’s new notice says. The proposal was withdrawn after 4 days after it drew criticism and ridicule.

On the 6th of this month, the board issued a directive that all cow lovers should observe February 14 as Cow Hug Day. The explanation was that the aim was to develop compassion for animals.
