World famous painter Vincent Van Gogh Art Residency Award for Malayalam artists. The Residency Award instituted by Van Gogh House, where Vincent Van Gogh lived in 1873, has honored renowned artists Sajan Mani and T.R. Upandranath was also selected. Artist and curator Sajan Mani was awarded the 2021 Berlin Art Prize. This is the first time that an Indian artist has received this award. Born in Kannur, he has also participated in exhibitions in various countries including Vancouver Biennale and Kampala Biennale. He has gained worldwide attention for his handling of fundamental issues in the contemporary world in performance art.

A native of Kochi, T. R. Updranath has held art exhibitions in many countries like Spain, France, London, Hong Kong and Berlin. Kochi Muziris Biennale 2012 artist in the first edition.

The pictures exhibited under the title “From Kerala with Love” were published in the Inspire section of the Royal College of London. His artworks are in various collections around the world, including museums.

Both artists will be able to live at Van Gogh House during their residency in London and engage in artistic practice there, working with other London artists, galleries, museums and curators. And the prestigious residency program includes all the necessary support for research.
