Aleppo,

A terrible earthquake struck the border areas of Turkey and Syria last Monday morning. The earthquake occurred when many people were sleeping and caused a large number of casualties.

23 km east of Noordaki in Gaziantep Province, Turkey. 24.1 km away. An earthquake struck in the depths. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook buildings in the border towns of Turkey and Syria. The earthquake was also felt in neighboring countries including Israel, Lebanon and Egypt’s Cairo.

The death toll from this earthquake continues to rise. A total of more than 24,000 people have died in both countries. But the death toll is feared to rise further. Rescue and relief operations are ongoing.

A pregnant woman named Fatima Ahmed lives in a building in the northern city of Aleppo. Fatima is in labor on the day of the earthquake. Following this, the family took him and left for the hospital.

Hours after he goes into labor, Fatima gives birth to a baby. This is her 3rd child. The baby has been named Najeem Al-Deen Mohammed.

Fatima says emotionally about this, “My son has brought my life back together.” May God protect him. He said that he wants to give a good life.

Fatima was admitted to the delivery ward on the top floor of the hospital. After this, another major earthquake occurred on the same day.

Neither of them could move elsewhere. The doctors went out for safety. Fatima’s parents, her 2 children, aged 3 and 1 respectively, went downstairs to the hospital. The pregnant mother’s husband is a soldier. He is stationed outside Aleppo city.

When Fatima said this with fear, I wrapped her in a hug. He recalls praying to God to save us until the earthquake stopped. She was discharged from the hospital along with her child and is staying with her family in a temporary relief area near the airport.

The building they lived in was not affected by the earthquake. However, the buildings on the way are damaged making it impossible to go to that area. Thus, only after they are repaired, the area becomes habitable.
