The Port of Avilés will adapt the market as a business incubator

The contracting committee of the Avilés Port Authority (Spain) has presented the contract for the adaptation of the old fish market of the Asturian fishing grounds as a nursery for those companies that offer port and complementary services.

The initiative has an award amount of 705,862.54 euros and an execution period of eight months. It should be noted that the old fish market of the enclave is made up of an industrial-type building, with a constructed area of 1789.59 m² on the ground floor, and 539.83 m² on the first floor, and which is currently without use of any kind.

The transformation process includes the creation of four independent establishments inside, the installation of loading docks for cargo vehicles, and pedestrian access, as well as essential spaces for the development of industrial activity in accordance with current regulations.

The people in charge of the enclave consider that these characteristics will make it possible to offer the minimum and essential that companies in the area need. Even so, it must be reviewed or supplemented for each activity to be installed depending on each activity project that you want to use.

Another action of the Port of Avilés is related to the second phase of adaptation of the pavement of Conde de Guadalhorce avenue to the traffic of heavy vehicles in a space of 1,078 meters.
