In this case, information went to Thiruthani Police yesterday that a young man was cursing obscenities at the public waiting at the bus station and threatening them with a knife.
Subsequently, Inspector Yehumalai and Sub-Inspector Rakikumari rushed to the spot.
On seeing the police, the man who threatened the public with a knife tried to flee. Seeing this, the police chased him and caught him.
In the investigation conducted by the police, it was revealed that the person who threatened the public with a knife was Perumal Makan Sundaramohan, 20, from Arakkonam next to Zakir Mandal in Ranipet district.
Subsequently, they arrested Sundaramohan and confiscated the knife.
A case was registered against Sundaramohan, he was produced in the court and the police put him in jail.
