Anil Kumar, who has been the Tahsildar of Elaganga Mandal, Bengaluru. Gopala Gowda, a retired irrigation engineer, had requested under the Right to Information Act to provide information about the land in Kuttanahalli village in Bengaluru district. But Tahsildar Anil Kumar did not provide the information about that land to Engineer Gopalagowda. Gopala Gowda filed a case against this in the Right to Information Commission.
The Commission that investigated the case, ordered that the Tahsildar who did not provide information to the concerned person under the Right to Information Act will be fined Rs. 25 thousand and that fine should be deducted from his salary, Bengaluru District Collector Dayanand.
