Kalayarkovi: If students who have studied degree have innovative ideas and intuition, they can become entrepreneurs, Director of Start Up and Innovation Mission Sivaraja Ramanathan said.
The 20th convocation ceremony was held at St. Michael’s College of Engineering and Technology at Kalaiyarko, Sivagangai District. College Chancellor M. Stalin Arogyaraj presided. Chief Executive Officer Bridget Nirmala presided. R.Senthilkumar and P.Vinothkumar spoke as special guests.
Sivarajaramanathan, Director, Startup and Innovation Mission, who awarded the degrees to the students said:
In Tamil Nadu 52 percent are pursuing higher education. 50 percent of them are women. Tamil Nadu ranks 2nd in total income of the country. Maharashtra holds the first place and Mumbai has the headquarters of all the companies. Maharashtra leads the way in terms of accounts they file.
Tamil Nadu has more factories. We excel in education and healthcare. There is one doctor for every 253 people. Because of this, people from northern states like Odisha and Bihar visit Tamil Nadu. The age you live in is a golden age.
You have all the opportunities in higher education. Never be a wage earner, be a wage earner for four. Students can become entrepreneurs if they have intuition and innovative ideas.
Believe in yourself. There is nothing impossible in life, he said.
He awarded degrees to 750 students studying in the college. Arrangements were made by the principal of the college, S. Kalpagam, and the professors.
