Kudalur: Nallathambi was suspended by Kumuli police station for being in close contact with ganja dealers and complicit in the sale of ganja. Nallathambi hails from Veppampatti in Theni district. He is working as Head Constable (Eight) at Kumuli Police Station. He was in close contact with ganja dealers.
Further, the investigation conducted by Kudalar Inspector revealed that the confiscated ganja in the ganja case was sold to the ganja dealers while going to hand it over to the court. Kambam Inspector Saravanan registered a case on the complaint of Inspector Pichai Pandian. After the information about this case was conveyed to the higher police officers, on the orders of the IG, Theni S.P. Praveen Umesh Dongre suspended Ettu Nallathambi as a departmental measure.
