Also, more than 20,000 people travel by train from Putluar to Chennai, Arakkonam and other areas.
Putluar railway station has a total of four railway tracks, two tracks for suburban trains and two tracks for express trains.
It has a footbridge between two platforms to allow suburban trains to cross the tracks.
But the flyover has not been extended to allow express trains to cross the tracks.
Due to this, the passengers are crossing the tracks with fear. Yesterday, a person who came to the temple died while trying to cross the rail.
Similarly, on many occasions, when the express train is running, accidents have occurred and many people have lost their lives.
Therefore, passengers of Putluar Railways have requested that the footbridge should be extended so that the express trains can also pass through the tracks.
