US to restore border law – NEWS 360 – WORLD

by time news

Washington : The U.S. government has announced it will reinstate border laws to control the flow of refugees into the country. U.S.-Mexican authorities say refugees wishing to enter the United States must remain in Mexico and will be allowed to enter the country only after a U.S. federal court order. Biden withdrew in January the Migrant Protection Protocol, which was introduced for refugee control during the Trump administration. But a federal court ruled in August that the law should be reinstated.

Although the Biden administration was considering implementing new immigration policies, it was not entirely successful. As the number of illegal immigrants on the Mexico-US border increased, there was widespread demand for the restoration of the border law.
