Mumbai Indians bought captain Harmanpreet Kaur in the Women’s Premier League 2023 auction.

In the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2023 auction in Mumbai, Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.8 crore.

When RCB started bidding, Delhi Capitals joined a fierce bidding war against RCB Capitals. While the Delhi team raised the bid for Rs 1.10 crore, the Indian captain was finally won by the Mumbai Indians in the auction for Rs 1.80 crore.

The first WPL match will be played in Mumbai from March 4 to 26 across two Mumbai stadiums and the player auction for the same was held today (February 13) in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Deepti Sharma went to UP Warriors for Rs 2.6 crore and Australian all-rounder Ashley Gardner was snapped up by Gujarat Giants for Rs 3.2 crore to become the highest paid foreign player.
