This weekend concluded the first MotoGP testing of the 2023 season that took place in Sepang. After three intense days of testing, the riders and team members, from mechanics to managers, have been able to have their first contact and thus experience the new sensations and possible improvements that must be applied to their motorcycles.

In the statements after the Sepang test, Puig was quite upset: “Clearly we are not where we would like, we have to keep testing solutions, we have a lot of ideas, but we have to give them to the drivers and show that they work”.

And although he affirms that he does not have the feeling of having fulfilled the team’s objective, the Team manager of the Repsol Honda He thinks positively when he comments that they are going in the right direction: “One of our objectives now is to improve traction, but it is not the only one. We have to improve on many things. I think we are going in the right direction”, added Alberto Puig.

When they asked about Marc Márquezpilot of the Repsol Honda Team, Alberto was quite hopeful: “I see Marc doing very well. His physical condition is much better than last year when we were here. He now he can do many turns and the next morning he is not broken or in pain. This is super important to us.”

On the other hand, when asked about Joan Mirthe other pilot of the RepsolHe is also happy with the adaptation and progression that Mir has had these days, for which he adds the final straw in the statement: “We must not forget that Mir he is twice world champion and that is the reason why he is here” concluded Alberto.
