Kuwait: The Ministry of Commerce has relaxed the restrictions imposed on the sale of gold jewellery. The time limit for affixing hall marking stamps on gold jewelery has been extended till May 30.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the sale and display of gold jewelery with old Hall Marking seals in Kuwait will be allowed subject to restrictions until May 30. The ministry also said that the complete details of gold jewelery with old hallmarking seals should be recorded in the consumer data register.
Along with this, the officials also clarified that the notice containing the appointment information for sealing the remaining ornaments should be displayed in front of the shop. Earlier, a ban was imposed on the sale of gold jewelery with old seals from January 1 in the country.
