Real Sociedad players celebrate (La Liga)
The 21st round of the Spanish league continued tonight (Monday) when Real Sociedad went to Barcelona and beat Espanyol 2:3. The game, like all the Spanish league games, was broadcast on channel ONE for HOT subscribers, yes subscribers, Cellcom TV and Partner TV.
The Basques, who are placed third in the table, recovered from the surprising home loss in the previous round to Valladolid and a streak of three games without a win in all formats (0:0 against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the league and 1:0 against Barcelona in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey at the Camp Nou), came back to win and increased the gap from Atlético Madrid in fourth place for four points. On the other hand, following the team’s loss to Barcelona, it remained in 17th place with only one point away from the red line.
Taka Kobo put the visitors ahead in the 23rd minute, when six minutes into the second half it was Alexandre Sorlot who took advantage of a pass from Mikel Ouyarzabel and doubled the score. An own goal by Landro Cabrera (who was also sent off in extra time) made it 0:3, and goals by Sergi Darder and Brian Olivan were enough for the host to shrink.
