David, who is dealing with cancer, visited a visitor center, experienced the simulator that simulates the unloading and loading of cranes from the operator’s cabin of the crane and also conducted a tour around the port, during which he also sat on the bridge of the tugboat. David is a happy boy, 9 years old, and also a cancer patient. During his treatment at the oncology department in Tel Hashomer, he saw an advertisement in the newspaper about ants, and shared with his family that his dream was to see the port in reality (and of course the containers too!).
They turned to the association to lend a hand to fulfill David’s dream and in cooperation with the Port of Ashdod organized a special tour just for him.

He received training just like the port workers – from the moment the ship arrived to the docking and tying stage.
