Kerala gang leader involved in cyber crimes arrested

Salem: The police have arrested the leader of the Kerala gang who was camped in Salem and involved in ‘cyber’ crimes related to telecom companies and are actively looking for four others.

Complaints have gone to the Central Intelligence Agency that calls from abroad are being diverted into local calls using modern technology and causing loss and fraud to telecom companies.

Subsequently, in the investigation conducted by the Central Intelligence Division police, it was discovered that he was involved in fraud from Salem.

Detective Branch DSP, Pawan, Kondalampatti Assistant Commissioner Anandi raided the house belonging to Bhuvaneshwari, 60, in Selva Nagar, Kondalampatti.

In this, 15 SIM boxes and more than 300 SIM cards were found. Also, Haider Ali, 40, from Malappuram, Kerala, who was staying at the house, was arrested.

According to his information, 60 SIM cards and 3 SIM boxes were seized during a raid at the house belonging to Manikandan, 30, in Vanniyar Nagar, Retiyur.

The Central Intelligence Agency police are looking for four people, Raykhanas Mohammad, 28, of Madhunuar near Kozhikode, Kerala, Rishal, 34, of Malappuram, and two others, who stayed here and used technology to commit ‘cyber’ crimes.

The Central Intelligence Agency along with the local police are actively investigating the Kerala gangs who are renting houses in Salem, camping under the guise of textile industry and online trading and are involved in ‘cyber’ crimes.
