MS Ashdod opened a pre-sale only for residents of Ashdod, Helen Gelber was angry about that.

Council member Helen Gelber, published this evening, Tuesday, a post full of inaccuracies, which defamed MS Ashdod only because it opened a pre-sale to the residents of the city of Ashdod in preparation for the match against Maccabi Haifa.

Gelber came out against the claim that MS Ashdod sells tickets in the offices of the youth department in person, without realizing that this was done so that the Maccabi Haifa fans, who bought tickets in the advance sale online, would not grab the tickets of the city’s residents.

MS Ashdod management explained to her:

To Mrs. Helen Gelber, after the defamatory post you published without a thorough investigation, we would like to inform you that the Ashdod Sports Club is making every effort this week so that the residents of the city in general and the fans of the team in particular can purchase tickets before they are kidnapped by the fans of the opposing team.

As soon as the free sale via the website opened this week, there was an immediate rush by Maccabi Haifa fans for the tickets, therefore, the club’s management made a decision to stop the free sale.

The club announced this morning that it has started selling tickets by physical arrival at the offices of the youth department. As a result, more than 900 tickets were already purchased today by the residents of the city.

In addition to this, the club distributed about 1500 invitations free of charge to the youth of the football school and community centers in the city who can come freely, a child with an accompanying parent, and this only to the residents of Ashdod and without any consideration.

As expected, we did not expect that you would be so kind as to praise the club’s management, but moreover, instead of welcoming the move as a council member who cares for the residents of the city, you unfortunately published a defamatory post without asking for the club’s response.
