Can Marc Márquez guess a circuit by listening to the engine of his Honda?

by time news

Marc Márquez has been competing in MotoGP since 2013. Gone is that boy from Cervera who made his debut in the premier class at just 20 years old, a category change that #93 masterfully consolidated winning the first of his six MotoGP titles that same year.

The Spanish pilot has already played a total of 154 races on the Honda RC213V, and in this time he has been the rider who has brought the most success and joy to HRC in the entire history of the championship, even surpassing the five 500 cc crowns achieved by Mick Doohan in the 90s

Having remained faithful to the brand with the golden wing for a whole decade has allowed Marc know every last screw of the machine that has given him so many successesand now that he is about to turn 30, he is already beginning to rub shoulders with the most veteran of the queen class.

The Repsol Honda Team wanted to put Márquez’s experience and knowledge to the test through a fun test in which he can only be guided by one thing: the sound of the V4 engine of his Honda.

The challenge approach is easy: identify which circuit it is by always starting from the finish line. The difficult part, logically, is being able to differentiate the first meters of each track based on the reactions of the engine, something that is a piece of cake for the #93.

In the challenge, Marc manages to guess the four circuits, one of them -and the one that is most difficult for him to identify- already out of the World Cup calendar for a few years. What for many would be practically impossible, for the eldest of the Márquez is to sew and sing. And it is that, it has to be of some use to do so many laps on the same circuit every weekend.
