Regarding the questions raised involved in the relationship of cancer to genetic diseases, Al-Khudairi indicated that there are some families that carry a “gene” that is susceptible to cancer, and in order for doctors to be able to determine that the infection is the result of a genetic factor, 3 people from “first-degree relatives” must have been infected with the same disease.
