Elon Musk hopes to step down as Twitter boss before the end of 2023

Elon Musk does not intend to continue exercising the management of Twitter indefinitely. This Wednesday he affirmed during his speech at the World Summit of Governments, which is being held in Dubai, that end of 2023 it may be the ideal time to leave your position in the application.

“I think I need to stabilize the organization and make sure it is in a financially healthy place and that the product roadmap is clearly established,” said the owner of Twitter, the ‘app’ for which he paid $44 billion last fall. .

“I don’t know, I guess probably the end of this year would be a good time to find someone else to run the company, because I think it should be in a stable position, you know, by the end of this year,” he said.

It should be remembered that, last December, Musk himself launched a survey on Twitter in which he asked users if he should resign from his position as CEO of the social network. The majority of participants, more than 57% of the total, decided to show the president the exit door.

After more than 24 hours of silence, Musk went on to confirm that he will resign “as soon as I find someone dumb enough to take the job.” Since then, he had kept quiet about his plans to leave the headquarters.

It should be remembered that, since Musk’s arrival at the property of Twitter, the social network has lost about half of the workers it previously had between layoffs and resignations. In addition, the tycoon’s plans to raise his hand in terms of content moderation have caused many of the main advertisers to reduce the advertising they display on the platform or, directly, have abandoned it.

The application is currently committed to expanding its subscription service, Twitter Blue, and for adding new features to increase revenue. Among the new tools that it is trying to add is the sending of money between application users.
